How we interact on Social Media changes constantly, and what is acceptable behavior seemed to be morphing as well.  You don't want to push too hard, post too much, look spammy or self-promoting... I am using (and enjoying) Facebook less and less. I am not alone. Check out this thoughtful article from The New York Times, called "Still on Facebook but Finding Less to Like?" Younger FB members are checking their accounts less often, and of course, they are the adults of the future. Does this mean in ten years or so Facebook may be relegated to the older user? Still a huge market, but definitely a change. Personally, Facebook has become an irritating experience. I have stopped strongly promoting Facebook as a powerful networking and marketing avenue for my new clients, unless they already Read more [...]

Several of my clients are thinking of trying InfusionSoft. I have not used it yet, but some people do rave about it. Expensive, perhaps, but maybe worth it. So, I having been reading reviews,  and ramping up for a trial. This is the best review I found, from TechHusband. Check it out on TechHusband here, written by Forest Linden: Learn more... "In my private tech consulting sessions, I end up spending a lot of time talking about Infusionsoft, since many folks are interested in using it. My clients ask me why I love WordPress. This can be a long answer, but I will try to make it short and sweet: It is the BEST! OK, now seriously.... lol ~ It is user friendly, easy to learn and easy to maintain ~ It is the way websites seem to be going: you do not need to learn html to create one, but you can still have a flashy, professional site ~ There are many many great themes (templates) and plugins available ~ Support is very good for WordPress, as it's use/popularity is so vast ~ You can have control of your own site and save money ~  It is a free, open source platform ~  Read more [...]

Many of my clients dive into the hefty job of writing their own book. And what a journey that is!  Just when you've finished the actual writing, editing, and proofing the document, then you must tackle the "Do I publish myself or wait for six months just for replies from publishers and agents, if I get one at all?" (Does that question seem just a tiny bit weighted by my opinion?) THEN, when you've made that decision and navigated the minefields of formatting, book cover graphics and text, etc., then you have to think about MARKETING. But you are pooped. Take a little break, then dive back in, Read more [...]
